TUITION CONTRACT

 

I, the undersigned parent or legal guardian, have made application for enrollment of ____________________________ grade(s) __________________ as a student(s) in the school operated by Kemper Academy, Inc., for the school year 2009-2010 and have paid the designated registration fee.

FEES

 

1.     REGISTRATION FEE -- Current Patrons: $150.00 per child during pre-registration, April 1, 2009-April 30, 2009.  After April 30, 2009 registration will be $250.00 per child.  Due at time of registration.  No exceptions.  It can not be added to tuition.  No post-dated checks will be accepted.  New Patrons:  $150.00 per child until August 1st.  After August 1st, registration will be $250.00 per child.

2.     MEMBERSHIP FEE -- $750.00 per family.  Due May 1st.  This may be paid in increments of $250.00 for three years.  Patrons will not pay a Membership Fee AND a Building Fee during the same year.

3.     BUILDING FEE -- $75.00 per child.  Due September 1st.  This will begin the year after the Membership fee is paid.  After September 1st, the Building Fee will be $150.00 per child.

4.     YEARBOOK FEE -- $45.00 per family ('09-'10 Yearbook).  Due August 15th.  After August 15th, Yearbook fee will be $90.00.

5.     RAFFLE -- $200.00 per family.  Due one day prior to the drawing.  All tickets must be sold or PAID IN FULL before the drawing.  Tickets cannot be added to your tuition.  If the tickets are not sold or bought by the patrons, your name will not go on the unpaid tickets and be put into the drawing.  Only the number of tickets paid for will be entered into the drawing.  PATRONS WILL HAVE UNTIL THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IN JANUARY TO PAY THE $200.00 IN FULL.  IT MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO THE SECOND SEMESTER IN ORDER TO RETURN TO SCHOOL.

6.     WORK FEE -- $100.00 per family.  You may work one day or pay the fee prior to September 1st.  After September 1st, $200.00 will be assessed and added to your tuition.

7.     CONCESSION ASSESSMENT FEE -- $50.00 per assignment.  The fee will be assessed to your tuition account if you do not work your assigned duties in the concession stand.  You may also opt to pay $50.00 per child enrolled in lieu of working.

8.     SPORTS PARTICIPATION FEE -- $40.00 per child.  This will cover all sports, including cheerleading, and is a once a year fee.  This fee must be paid before your child will be able to participate in the sport of choice.

9.     RETURNED CHECK FEE -- there will be a $30.00 Returned Check Fee for ALL returned checks.

 

10.   TUITION -- First payment due August 1st.

In consideration of the acceptance of the above named student(s) by Kemper Academy, Inc., for said school year, it is expressly agreed and understood that I will pay the balance of said tuition for the above named student(s) in accordance with the plan that I have selected and marked, in the blank below.  Any reason for non-payment must be brought before the Board of Directors for their consideration.

 

Tuition is due on the first day of AUGUST and the first day of each month and is past due after the tenth of each month.  A late fee of $30.00 will be added to all accounts not paid by the 10th of each month.  If the 10th falls on the weekend, payment is due prior to the weekend.  There will be no interest charged to the account, just a flat fee of $30.00.  Report cards will not be issued to students whose accounts are not current.  All accounts must be cleared before a student is allowed to participate in graduation ceremonies (High School or Kindergarten).

 

It is further understood and agreed by me that upon my failure to pay in accordance with the terms of the plan that I have selected, and unless my child abides by all rules and regulation of the school set forth by the Board of Directors and Administrator, all privileges of the school may be withdrawn from the above named student(s) until such time as my commitment is made good and that such withdrawal of school privileges, regardless of its duration, will in no way affect my obligation to pay full tuition.  I hereby agree to the terms of this contract and understand that all tuition and fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.  Further, it is understood and agreed that the K.A. Student Drug Testing Policy (Grades 7-12), a copy of which is attached hereto, is incorporated as a part of this contract and that compliance herewith is required of both students and parents. 

Execution and delivery of this contract is essential in order that Kemper Academy may secure and maintain the necessary faculty and physical facilities for the education of the students enrolled in K.A. for the academic year 2009-2010.
