The Kemper Academy experience is a unique one. Kemper Academy was built in 1970 on ten acres of
land in DeKalb, MS. The school was founded for the purpose of providing quality, affordable education
for the children of Kemper County and the surrounding areas. Over the years, our students have won
awards in academic competitions and have received numerous scholarships to community colleges and
state universities. Many have completed advanced degrees and are successful in a number of
professional fields.
Kemper Academy is a non-profit organization composed of grades K3-12. We are accredited through
the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools . We are a small school in a small town, but we
offer our students a caring, safe, family-like environment that is special.
